Cover of the Week - BRB: Godhunter, MA: Spider-Man & Runaways

It has been over 36 hours since Kirk had any solid food and he is thinking of selling his comics to buy a Batman costume, so us here at The Weekly Crisis are thinking of making an intervention with him regarding his addiction to the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game.

In the mean time, here are our choices for Cover of the Week! Fallen giants, explosions and tons of debris are among the covers we chose, so hit the jump to see our choices and the reasons why we thought they were worthy of the honor.

Kirk's Cover of the Week - Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter #3

Kirk: The raw power and energy of this image of Beta Ray Bill towering over the fallen body of Galactus was more than enough to get me to pick up this issue.

Matt's Cover of the Week - Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man #54

Matt: This just goes to show that you can forgo all conventional wisdom about art and still put out a great cover. Most of the cover is useless bulk, but it works perfectly to draw the eye down to Spider-Man lifting it. In a week of great covers, Skottie Young still manages to rise above the rest.

Ryan's Cover of the Week - Runaways #13

Ryan: I've always loved when the title of the book is part of the image itself and David Lafuente does a great job of incorporating it here. The cover is simple, but his character work is solid and it is one book that immediately catches your eye on the stands.

Runner-ups: Detective Comics #856, Dark X-Men: The Beginning #3, Nova #28

Can't agree on Runaways, but that's probably just because I've lost what love I built up for the series since the latest renumbering.

Don't know if you guys have seen it yet, but the cow variant for Skrull Kill Krew is a pretty awesome cover this week.

Yeah, I saw that variant, I thought it was pretty funny.
