Cover of the Week - Proof and Marvel Zombies 5

It's Sunday, and that means it is time for us to put an end to this week, and we always do it the same way, by choosing the Cover of the Week! This week, Ryan L. and me went for the monster theme, with zombies and bigfoot starring in this week's best covers. Also, because a reader asked for it last week, I made the runner ups images a bit bigger so you can see them in more detail when you click them. Hit the jump to see the winning covers.

Ryan L's Cover of the Week - Proof #26 by Riley Rossmo

Ryan L.: How does bigfoot put on his pants? One leg at a time, same as the rest of us. Sorry, that was lame, but it's that sort of reason why I like this cover. He's just taking his time, enjoying the little things. I like that this issue is a one-shot stand alone story that's also taking its time and just doing what it likes. I also adore the colour palette used here with the squares on the wall. It's like Proof here is on set of The Ice Storm. Golden and simple and way better than dogs playing poker, I could stare at this for hours.

Matt's Cover of the Week - Marvel Zombies 5 #1 by Rafa Garres

Matt: It's hard to put a finger on exactly what sells me on this cover, it may be the dramatic angle, the dynamic action, or just the sheer gore factor. Or maybe I just love it when Machine Man destroys some fleshy ones (even if they are zombies). In the end, it's a very eye catching cover, and that's really important in my eyes.

Runners-Up: Electric Ant #1 (Mack Variant), S.H.I.E.L.D. #1, Batman and Robin #11 (Quitely Variant)
