Cover of the Week - Daredevil & Superboy

Welcome to a slightly late edition of Cover of the Week. What do we have for you today? Some fighting, some posturing, the usual deal, but through the strength of the artists involved they make these covers stand out. Hit the jump to see the winning covers.

Matt & Ryan L.'s Covers of the Week - Daredevil #2 by Paolo Rivera

Ryan L.: There's no one hook to this cover. It's just good. Hell, it's great. The composition of the movement in the fight is good but my favourite stuff is the little things; Cap's sliced off head wing, the hair coming out of the sliced hoods, and the swapped weapons. Just awesome and if you've checked solicitations you'll know the quality covers only keep coming.

Matt: I have to agree with Ryan, this is a very strong and eye-catching cover, but what really sells it is the attention to details that Rivera has given it. The costume design on it is superb as well, you can see how everything comes together. All around, a very strong cover.

Ken's Cover of the Week - Superboy #11 by Karl Kerschl

Ken: The cover to Superboy #1 was basically just Conner's shirt, and then ten issues later we get a zoomed out version including all of Superboy's friends. If the series continued, maybe issue #20 would have included the other members of the Super-family like Clark, Lois, and Martha. Add to it some excellent coloring, and you've got a cover that looks good as a piece of art and not just a cover.
