Just like Jello, there's always room for our Covers of the Week! This time around, it's all about Doc Ock, whether it's some superpowered claw machine action or some geriatric curmudgeonery. So please click through the cut to check these guys out, along with our honourable mentions!
Ken: Some crane operator should really license the Spider-Man characters to do this exact idea, using Doc Ock's arms for the grapple. It's a great cover idea that not only works in the present with Ock as Spidey, but a slight change to the costume and it could still be used a year or two later when Peter returns. One of my favorite covers of the year, actually.
Grant: While Skottie Young's Marvel Kids covers are pretty danged cute, this cover does an excellent job of poking fun at how prevalent they are as variant covers on Marvel fare. I remain quite tickled at the idea of Marvel Old People. This cover does an excellent job of hinting at the greater satire that lives within the comic, as Marvel Now What?! #1 was a hilarious book that jokingly mocks a a lot of the foolish things that Marvel has been doing in the past few years, whether from a business perspective or within the stories themselves.
